The Golf R Black Edition is a special model released by Volkswagen Japan, limited to 403 units. It comes standard with the normally optional R Performance Package, which raises the top speed from 250 km/h to 270 km/h. It also gets lightweight 19-inch Warmenau forged wheels, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, a large spoiler, and numerous exclusive black accents such as black badges.
